Al-Hilal defeats Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr 3-0 in the Saudi league

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Al Hilal in the Saudi League on Friday.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic scored the opening goal of the match in the 64th minute of the Riyadh Derby at King Fahd International Stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s impressive goal in the 74th minute delivered a much-needed equalizer for his team.

Unfortunately, the referee ruled it offside, despite the clear and decisive nature of the play

Al Nassr’s coach expressed his dissatisfaction with the decision, indicating the close nature of the call to the fourth official over the phone.

But with the Saudi league utilising semi-automated offside technology, the check was likely made quickly without lines needing to be drawn.

The match then went from bad to worse for Ronaldo.

His team conceded two more goals, with former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring in the 89th minute and the second minute of added time to make it 3-0.

Al Hilal’s Ali Albulayhi was shown a straight red card in the third minute of added time at the end of the second half for agitating the away fans, but Al Nassr were unable to take advantage of the home side being a man down.

Al Hilal are now seven points clear at the top of the league.

This was Al Nassr’s first defeat in over 20 matches in all competitions.

Al-Nassr’s loss was a big blow to their chances of winning the league title. They had been hoping that Ronaldo would help them win the league, but he didn’t play well in the match.
