Boko Haram destroys 330KVA transmission line

A faction of Boko Haram terrorists, the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists have again destroyed another 330KVA high tension transmission line along Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway.

The incident occurred in the early hours of December 28, 2023, at about 0700hours between Yanayakiri-Garin Kuturu in the Jakana general area.

Recall that ovet the weekend preceeding Christmas, the terrorists attacked power transmission towers, rendering parts of Borno state in total darkness.

Zagazola Makama understands that the terrorists also planted around the vicinity which killed one NSCDC personnel.

On December 21, the terrorists vandalised two transmission towers around Katsaita village causing failure of power supply parts of Borno and Yobe.
