Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano state has inaugurated the reconstruction and dualization of the 2.6-kilometer Lodge road to Government House roundabout.
This is part of the ongoing celebrations marking his one year in office and the urban renewal efforts of the Kano state government.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Thursday.
The Governor also unveiled the first phase of the Wuju-Wuju road spanning 1.2 kilometers and the refurbished Bayero Soli road, complete with an off-ramp linking to the Ado Bayero mall within the bustling Kano metropolis.
Addressing attendees at the respective events, Governor Abba Kabir emphasized that these road constructions form integral components of the Kano State Government’s urban renewal program, aimed at enhancing the quality and accessibility of roads in light of the state’s pivotal role in commerce and other economic endeavors.

Regarding the dualized Wuju-Wuju road, the Governor revealed that the project was initially conceived during the second term of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso 2023, with the intention of facilitating smoother traffic flow.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made a commitment to completing the remaining phases of the road project with solar-powered lighting to benefit the local populace and further enhance the state’s urbanization efforts.
He echoed the steadfast dedication of his administration towards executing developmental directly impacting the lives of individuals across all 44 local government areas in the state.
