The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, ARCON, says business are to pay up to N100,000 for vetting social media marketing and advertising contents.
The advertising regulatory in a latest notice released on Thursday said normal vetting for any social media ad costs N7,500, and this will take 7 days.
ARCON added that will cost N70,000, while those who want their adverts to be vetted within one day will pay N100,000.
The latest vetting rate came on the back of warning issued earlier by the regulator, mandating social media influencers and bloggers, among others, to seek its approval before advertising any product or service online.
