Finally, Obi to challenge Tinubu’s victory at Supreme Court

Unsatisfied with the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed the electoral victory of Tinubu in the February 25 general election, The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has vowed to appeal the judgement.

Obi, who spoke on Thursday at a press conference in Onitsha, Anambra state, vowed not to back down in seeking justice.

In this vein, Obi said he had instructed his Lawyers to do the needful and appeal the judgement of the Tribunal at the Supreme Court of Nigeria according to the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

Recall that his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, had announced the same position on Thursday.

The former Vice President and candidate of the PDP had rejected the judgement of the Tribunal, which affirmed the electoral victory of Tinubu in the February 25 general election.

Recall that Tribunal had on Wednesday delivered judgements on the petitions filed against Tinubu and APC by the PDP, LP and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and their candidates.
