As part of ongoing efforts to implement the 5-kilometre road projects, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, today flagged off the construction of a 5-kilometre road project in Kunchi town, Ghari Local Government Area.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, in Kano.
According to the statement, the Governor noted that the project was initiated during the second tenure of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso to develop rural communities but was abandoned by the immediate past administration.
He expressed his appreciation to the people of the area for their patience, support, and cooperation, and instructed the contractor handling the project to fully mobilize the site within one week.
He warned that failure to do so would compel the government to terminate the contract.
Before flagging off the 5-kilometre road project, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, in the company of his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, and other members of the State Executive Council, commissioned a township road in Yandadi town.
