Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf says his commissioners are on six months’ period of probation, warning that outcome of performance evaluation would determine the security of their job.
Governor Yusuf, who did not disclose the metrics of his evaluation after six months in office, said members of the state executive council were appointed based on competence.
A statement signed on Wednesday by his media aide Habib Hisham disclosed that Governor Yusuf issued the warning during the maiden council meeting in Kano.
”I am reminding you that your appointment is on probation of six months period after which a monitoring and evaluation team under my headship will be monitoring the performances of the ministrys and those who performed well will be appreciated and those who under performed will be pulled out,” he said.
