Kano State Civil Society Forum, KCSF, has described as false a report in some quarters of the media insinuating leadership crisis in the Forum.
In his reaction on Friday, the President of the Forum, Amb. Ibrahim Waiya, said the report titled ”Exclusive: Nine-Year Tight Grip on Leadership at Kano Civil Society Forum Throws Members into Disarray” is misleading, cheap and unprofessional journalism by those behind the news platforms.
According to him, the concocted story was a sponsored one by some fake and paid persons claiming to be members of civil societies in the state.
That for such claims to be made by anonymous persons, is an indication of mischief and deliberate attempt to cause confusion among it’s members.
Waiya, affirmed that the CSOs under the auspices of Kano Civil Society Forum, KCSF had always been peaceful and will continue to work towards promoting peace and development of all it’s members adding that preparation are in place for the forthcoming elections of the forum.
Furthermore, he charged those behind the platforms to always fact-check claims before rushing to publish a story. Doing so, he said, amounts to lazy journalism.
