The Governor-Elect of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has advised all the 44 Local Government Council Chairmen to shed their plans to use the public funds to finance the forthcoming supplementary elections in the State.
The warning was contained in a ‘Public Advisory’ signed on Thursday by the Chairman of 2023 NNPP Gubernatorial Transition Committee, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, copied to DAILY COMMERCE.
The statement read further:
”We advise them not to allow themselves to be used, again, as conduits for siphoning public funds to finance the forthcoming supplementary elections in some states and federal constituencies of the State; and
”We further advise them to operate strictly in accordance with all the relevant financial regulations and extant guidelines.
”This advisory is made in the public interest, please.”
