Manu Garba renames Golden Eaglets head coach–NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the appointment of former U17 World Cup-winning coach, Manu Garba, as the new Head Coach of the Nigeria U17 boys, Golden Eaglets.

Garba, who previously led the Golden Eaglets to victory in the FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013, returns to the role with a wealth of experience and success. Under his guidance, the team secured Nigeria’s fourth triumph at the U17 level.

During his tenure in 2013, Garba’s squad included notable talents such as Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, Isaac Success, Musa Mohammed, Chidiebere Nwakali, and goalkeeper Dele Alampasu.

The team’s remarkable journey to victory saw them emerge as runners-up at the African U17 Championship in Morocco, followed by a dominant performance in the FIFA U17 World Cup.
