The owner of WhatsApp, Mark Zuckerberg, said the platform has enabled users to log into account on up to four phones starting from today (Tuesday)
Zuckerberg, who made the announcement on Tuesday via his verified Facebook account, said the improvement on WhatsApp will be enable, ”Starting today (Tuesday)”.
He said: ”Starting today, you can log into the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones.”
A WhatsApp user also asked, ”Can we log in through two different numbers on the same WhatsApp app? This is particularly helpful when you have a dual sim phone and need to have separate WhatsApp accounts on the same phone”.
One other said: ”Good to know. I’m planning to buy iPhone so quite helpful.”
On the use of account on multiple phones, or with multiple phone numbers, WhatsApp said an account can only be verified with one registered phone number.
”If you have a dual SIM phone, please note that you still must choose one number to verify with WhatsApp. There is no option to have a verified WhatsApp account with two different phone numbers.
”If you attempt to frequently switch your WhatsApp account between different devices, at a certain point, you may be blocked from re-verifying your account.
”Please don’t repeatedly switch between different devices and numbers,” it said.
