Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, one of the recently Appointed Ministers of the Federation and the current Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, has pledged his commitment to helping the All Progressives Congress (APC) reclaim Kano State in the upcoming 2027 elections.
During his first visit to Kano after joining the Federal Executive, Ata emphasized that his appointment carries a significant political objective.
In a conversation with journalists, Ata candidly acknowledged the political motivations behind his role. “My appointment was primarily for political reasons.
The APC has lost Kano State, but now we will reclaim it. The main issue lies in Kano Central, and that is my home base,” he remarked, expressing determination to address the party’s challenges in the region.
Ata highlighted his focus on grassroots engagement as a key strategy, stating, “Even as a minister, I will continue to be active in my ward. We will put in the hard work necessary to ensure that the APC regains control of Kano State by 2027.”

He assured the President of his determination to see the APC secure Kano in the next election.
“This is my assurance to the President,” Ata concluded with confidence.
